“In a few short hours, this defendant committed a series of heinous, violent acts that permanently injured three female victims that he attempted to murder, including a two-year-old child that he sexually brutalized,” DA Singas said. “Tommy Alvarado-Ventura is one of the most dangerous and vicious people we have ever seen in Nassau County and everyone is safer with him behind bars for life.”

Alvarado-Ventura stabbed a woman outside of the El Mariachi Loco Bar in Hempstead, around 2:30 a.m. on March 22, 2017. The woman suffered a collapsed lung, permanent scarring, and nerve damage.

Alvarado-Ventura fled the scene and made his way to his girlfriend's apartment where he tried to kill her 2-year-old daughter -- beating her in the face, strangling, and sexually assaulting her. He then tried to murder his girlfriend by stabbing her on the arms, hands, and back.

Police were called and Alvarado-Ventura was arrested. He will be sentenced in March, and faces life in prison.
