WASHINGTON (1010 WINS) -- Robert Mueller's people say Michael Wolff is wrong.
Wolff claims his findings are based on internal documents given to him by sources close to Mueller's office. He makes the revelation in Siege: Trump Under Fire, which is slated for release in June.
He claims Mueller's office planned to charge the president with “influencing, obstructing or impeding a pending proceeding,” “tampering with a witness, victim or informant” and “retaliating against a witness, victim or informant."
Just who that is, is not clear, but Peter Carr, a spokesman for Mueller told the Guardian that the documents do not exist.
Fox News reports Wolff was accused of misrepresenting his levels of access and making fabrications for Fire and Fury, and Siege may face similar scrutiny.
“Questions over the provenance of the documents will only add to controversy and debate around the launch of Wolff’s eagerly awaited new book,” The Guardian's Edward Helmore wrote.
Trump and White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders called Wolff's first book a "complete fantasy" and a "work of fiction."
