NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- In a new documentary about his wife, former president Bill Clinton talks about the Monica Lewinsky scandal and explains why he had the affair that nearly destroyed his presidency.

In the upcoming Hulu documentary "Hillary," Clinton said the pressure of being in the White House made him feel like a boxer who had gone 30 rounds, and that the affair was something that "will take your mind off it for a while" and helped him "manage my anxieties for years."

Clinton also admitted that he had intially lied about the whole thing to his wife, but finally confessed when it became too obvious that he wasn't telling the truth.

Hillary will be available for streaming on Hulu Friday. The original doc interweaves revealing moments from never-before-seen 2016 campaign footage with biographical chapters of her life.
