Bronx Assemblymember Michael Blake is working with World Central Kitchen to provide free meals to anyone in need in parts of NYC, 1010 WINS' Juliet Papa reported."We're saying to anyone in the Bronx and targeted areas in Queens that we will have meals available every single day until this pandemic is done, Blake said."
"These meals will be available to anyone in the area who needs extra support during this uncertain time,"WCK posted on its website. "They will be individually-packed fresh meals, ready to heat at home."
"If you say that I have multiple people in my household and I want to pick up a few extra sandwiches, um absolutely, take for your households," Blake said.
He plans to expand to 20 locations this week and more after that, Papa reported.
