
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The body of a missing bar owner in Wolcott, Conn. has been found in the woods, WABC reports.
The body of Janet Avalo-Alvarez, 26, was found on Tuesday, a week after she was last seen.
According to WABC, Waterbury police said the autopsy found that the cause of death was neck compression. Police are treating the case as a homicide.
Avalo-Alvarez was last seen at the bar that she co-owns with her boyfriend, Alfredo Peguero-Gomez.
Peguero-Gomez is considered a suspect, according to WABC, but he has not been located.
