NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib deleted a tweet that seemingly -- and incorrectly --  blamed "white supremacy" for Tuesday's deadly attack in Jersey City at a kosher market.

Aside from the fact that not one official has mentioned white supremacy, shooters David Anderson and Francine Graham were African-American and had reported ties to the Black Hebrew Israelite movement.

In retweeting a story Thursday morning about the attack, the Michigan Democrat wrote, "This is heartbreaking. White supremacy kills."

Critics online were quick to point out Anderson and Graham's ties to the Black Hebrew Israelite movement, which the Southern Poverty Law Center has labeled as a black supremacist group.

New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir Grewal said Thursday that authorities are investigating the incidents as a possible act of "domestic terrorism."

"The evidence points towards acts of hate," Grewal said. "I can confirm that we're investigating this matter as potential acts of domestic terrorism, fueled both by anti-Semitism and anti-law enforcement beliefs."
