NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – NJ Transit and Amtrak service in and out of Penn Station resumed Wednesday afternoon with delays hours after a rail bridge became stuck in New Jersey.

NJ Transit said the Portal Bridge in Kearny became stuck in the open position around 10 a.m.

About two hours later, around noon, NJ Transit tweeted, "Service in and out of Penn Station New York has resumed and is subject to up to 45-minute delays following earlier Amtrak Portal bridge being stuck in the open position."

All NJ Transit tickets and passes were continuing to be cross-honored by PATH at Hoboken, Newark Penn Station and 33rd Street, as well as on buses run by NJ Transit and private carriers, the agency said.
