NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – The forecast shows March going out like a lion – with rain and powerful winds into the weekend.
The nasty weather is from a nor’easter or potential "bomb cyclone" churning up the East Coast, AccuWeather says.
Winds kicked up Friday and continued overnight. The gusts could get so strong Saturday that the Department of Buildings is advising property owners, contractors and crane operators to take precautionary measures.

It will be very windy and chilly on Saturday despite partly sunny skies. AccuWeather says gusts could top 50 mph, making 40-degree temps feel more like the 20s much of the day.
Sunday seems more like spring, with more sun, less wind and a high approaching 60. Monday is another mild day with a chance of some showers in the afternoon.
