NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A doctor from the Niagara Falls area performed CPR on a 3-year-old boy who almost drowned in a pool at a New Jersey hotel, saving his life, according to a report.

A relative pulled the boy from the shallow end of a pool at the Courtyard by Marriott in Montvale on Saturday, police told NJ.com

Buffalo-area doctor John Blundell, who happened to be visiting New Jersey at the time, then revived the boy by administering CPR, according to the outlet.

“(It is) incredibly fortunate that the doctor… was in the right place at the right time,” Montvale Police Chief Joseph Sanfilippo told the outlet.

The New York Post reported that Blundell works at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center in Niagara Falls, New York.
