ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) -- College and professional sports betting could be offered at New York casinos as early as April.The Rochester Democrat & Chronicle reports the state Gaming Commission on Monday voted to preliminary approve regulations for sports betting at the state's four private casinos.The regulations won't be finalized until they are subject to a 60-day public comment period. It would also apply to Indian operated casinos. Mobile betting won't be allowed.The gaming commission rules would require that facilities have a sports wagering lounge to accept bets. Automated ticket systems would also be allowed, but only within the lounges.Earlier this month, the Oneida Indian Nation announced it planned to offer sports betting in partnership with Caesars Entertainment at their sprawling Turning Stone Resort Casino and two smaller casinos.
