NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- New York, New Jersey and Connecticut on Tuesday doubled the number of states from which visitors to the states will need to quarantine for 14 days.

Last week, Governors Phil Murphy, Andrew Cuomo, and Ned Lamont announced they would impose a 14-day quarantine on those traveling to the tri-state area from states with a high transmission rate.

The advisory also applies to tri-state area residents who are traveling back to their home state by train, bus, car, plane and any other method of transportation from areas with a high rate of transmission.
