NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A Bronx McDonald's worker was arrested and charged Thursday night after she smashed a glass coffee pot over the head of a man who was climbing through the drive-thru window, police said.
The bizarre encounter was sparked by an argument at the McDonald's on Boston Road around 10:30 pm. Thursday.
Police said a 30-something-year-old man spit at the worker, possibly the manager of the restaurant, and tried to climb in through the drive-thru window.
That's when the worker smashed a glass coffee pot over his head, police said; the glass shattered and slashed the man's neck.
He was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital in serious but stable condition, police said.
NYPD officers took 24-year-old Emonie Reed into custody. She was charged with assault, reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a weapon.
