NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is searching for a man in connection with a string of thefts at Alexander McQueen and John Varvatos stores in midtown Manhattan, totalling more than $14,000, police said Thursday.
Police said the theft of items at the Alexander McQueen store on Madison Avenue took place on four separate occasions:
The male suspect on June 20 visited the Alexander McQueen store with two women, "acting in concert," and removed two handbags valued at $2,910, police said. The trio then fled on foot.
Police said on March 5 and June 28, 2019 the same man visited the Alexander McQueen store and removed two handbags valued at $4,430.
On March 9, the man entered the Alexander McQueen store and removed two women's handbags from the shelves valued at $3,980 and fled the store on foot.
And in November 2018, the man entered the John Varvatos store, also on Madison Avenue, and removed a jacket valued at $2,698 from the sales rack and fled the store on foot.
Police are also looking for the two women.
