NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD is on the hunt for a man who allegedly attempted to rape a woman in midtown this past Sunday evening, police said.
At around 8 p.m. a 21-year-old-woman met the suspect near East 45th Street and Vanderbilt Avenue.
"The unidentified individual and the victim entered a residence and once inside, the individual displayed a knife and attempted to sexually assault the victim," according to a police news release. "The victim fought the individual and sustained minor injuries. The unidentified individual fled in an unknown direction. "
The individual is described as male Asian/Pacific, medium complexion, approximately 18 to 25 years of age, 5'8", 160lbs, black hair, facial hair, brown eyes and a medium build. He was last seen wearing a green jacket, black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and gray shoes.
