NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The NYPD's transportation chief has been put on life support as he battles COVID-19, sources tell 1010 WINS. 

NYPD Chief of Transportation William T. Morris is currently hospitalized with the virus, according to the sources. 


Morris, 61, "had contact" with Transit Bureau Chief Edward Delatorre — who also tested positive for COVID-19 — at Bellevue Hospital on March 13, the New York Post reported

As of Monday, 30 NYPD employees had died of complications related to COVID-19, and 4,435 had tested positive, according to the outlet.
