NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- An off-duty MTA bus driver was arrested Tuesday night for having an illegal gun that was found after police dispersed a group playing a dice game on a Brooklyn street and defying social distancing rules.
Officials say 22-year-old Gianni Eatman-Nelson, attempted to flee when officers broke-up a large crowd playing dice at approximately 8:30 p.m. on East 23rd Street near Flatbush Avenue.
Authorities eventually caught up with Eatman-Nelson who was allegedly carrying a loaded .380-caliber firearm in his pocket.
Eatman-Nelson was charged with criminal possession of a loaded firearm, obstructing government administration and violation of local law, officials say.
