NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The ratings for the Oscars are up from last year -- but this year's telecast still was the second-smallest audience ever for an Oscars telecast.
29.6 million viewers watched the telecast on Sunday. That's up from 26.5 million in 2018.
That's an increase of approximately 12 percent in total viewers/
The 2018 Oscars were down approximately 16 percent from the 2017 telecast.
The 2018 Oscars had the lowest viewership in the award ceremony's history.
