NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – We’re still hoping for happy endings in two high-profile missing pet cases.
A Manhattan dog owner is still looking for her dog Lolo who slipped away from a dog walker and ended up in New Jersey after dashing through the Lincoln Tunnel. And a cat owner is looking for her feline Big Sexy, who ran away from an FDNY calendar shoot late last month.
The search continues for Lolo, a tan-colored mix breed that got away from her dog walker on 42nd Street on the West Side Friday night and made a run for it. Lolo ended up in Hoboken and Weehawken after traversing the Lincoln Tunnel.
Lolo is only 9 months old and pretty thin, so her owner Joey Liao is very worried about her out in the cold and is hopeful she’ll be found.
“If you spot her don’t chase her,” Liao said. “Just text us immediately. Tell us when and where you saw her and what direction she was heading. And then quietly and calmly gain her trust and coax her to come to you.”
The number to contact if you see Lolo is: 917-374-6200.

And then there’s Big Sexy, the longhaired black cat. He also goes by Buddy.
Big Sexy was spooked and apparently ran off from an FDNY calendar shoot on South Street in late January. His owner says the case has gotten a lot of media interest, but so far no kitty.
“I’m desperate,” Big Sexy’s owner, Leslie Silbert, told the Daily News.
Big Sexy was taking part in the 2020 FDNY Calendar of Heroes at the time, which will feature pictures of firefighters and EMTs with adopted pets.
“Super-nice firefighters searched with thermal imagers under the truck he ran beneath and along the massive storage areas,” Silbert said. “I’ve set cat traps in the firehouse (and) they kindly let me in to call for him and freshen the food in the traps.”
The number to contact if you see Big Sexy is: 917-826-2849.
