NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police arrested a man Monday night, suspected of attacking an out-of-town nurse helping New York City with the coronavirus outbreak.
The 32-year-old fought off an attempted rapist who had followed her into a Hamilton Heights apartment building on Friday night.
According to police, the suspect punched her in the face and tried to take off her pants, but the woman was able to fight the man off, police said.
Officials arrested 35-year-old Jason Roberts of the Bronx after surveillance video showed the suspect wearing a light blue scarf.
Roberts was charged with attempted rape, robbery and burglary.
