NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police say 35-year-old Steven Larosa is the latest person to be arrested for dousing NYPD officers with water.
Larosa was arrested at his home in East New York, Brooklyn, early Thursday morning after getting tips from the public, a police said.
He was charged with obstructing governmental administration and harassment.
Authorities say Larosa is the man seen on surveillance video spraying water from a bottle at two traffic enforcement agents in Queens on July 24.Police Commissioner James O'Neill referred to Larosa as the "tough guy who confronted two NYPD traffic enforcement agents doing the job taxpayers want & expect them to do," via Twitter.
O'Neill also added that such behavior "will not be tolerated.''
There have been about five other incidents that involve the dousing of water on NYPD officials that have occurred in recent days.
