NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – We’ve all heard of the Man in the Moon… but the Man in the Mattress?
Police say a Florida man who smoked meth on Friday began hallucinating and accused his girlfriend of cheating with a man living inside their mattress.
The Okaloosa County Sherriff’s Office says the girlfriend called the cops when her boyfriend Felipe Oquendo locked her in a bedroom and began beating the mattress with a bedpost to kill the man living inside.
Police say Oquendo’s girlfriend was able to escape as he ripped the mattress apart with his bare hands.
“Oquendo told OCSO deputies he was fighting the man in the mattress, holding him down when they arrived, but the man then slipped out and left,” the sheriff’s office posted to Facebook.
Oquendo was charged with false imprisonment and possession of drug paraphernalia.
