NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – The man who was found dead and rolled up in a carpet outside a Harlem apartment building has been identified by police.
The NYPD says Anthony Lewis, 27, was found dead inside a red carpet outside 301 W. 145th St. on Thursday morning.
A pedestrian noticed a pair of feet sticking out of the carpet and called 911.
The victim had blunt for trauama to his head, according to PIX11.
Police are investigating the death as a homicide while the medical examiner works to determine what killed Lewis.
Meanwhile, the NYPD has new surveillance video that shows two people pushing the rolled-up carpet down the sidewalk on a Target shopping cart, the New York Post reported.
