NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Police are looking for a man who broke into an apartment in the Bronx this month and terrified a woman who was asleep in bed.
The NYPD released surveillance video of the suspect on Saturday.
He can be seen wearing a plastic bag on his head as he roams a hallway of the building on Bainbridge Avenue, near Coles Lane, in the Fordham Manor section of the Bronx.
Police said he got into the building through a window of a basement apartment.
A 41-year-old woman who was asleep in bed woke up when he touched her leg, police said. The woman screamed and the suspect took off.
The suspect escaped through the same window he entered, according to police, who said he didn't take anything from the home.
The NYPD said the man has a pony tail.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers 1-800-577-TIPS.
