NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A police officer was involved in a fatal shooting Tuesday night in Asbury Park.
Authorities have yet to release any information about what happened, including the name of the person who was shot.
The shooting occurred around 10:30 p.m. on Seventh Avenue near Webb Street around the Asbury Inn.
Police said they were responding to a call about an emotionally disturbed person.
Several shots were fired, leaving one dead.
New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir Grewal said his Shooting Response Task Force is looking into the incident but released no information.
