NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Nassau County detectives are investigating a man accused of exposing himself to two nine-year-old girls at different times on Monday.
Officials said that at 7:15 pm, the victims, who are sisters, encountered a white man at two different times while traveling to and from their Merrick home to their grandmother's home nearby.According to detectives, the first victim, while riding her bicycle to her grandmothers, observed the man sitting on a bicycle on the corner of Petit Avenue and Webster Street intentionally exposing himself to her.
She turned around and went home to tell her parents.
Approximately two minutes later, the second victim, while riding to her home from her grandmothers also observed the same man.
As she attempted to ride her bicycle passed him, police said the suspect lunged at her, grabbed her shoulders and attempted to pull her pants down.
The girl yelled and was able to get away.
She also rode home to tell her parents.The suspect fled westbound on Webster Street.
He was described as being in his 20's, with brown hair. He was wearing a black shirt, red pants, black sneakers, and a paper mask covering his mouth.
Officials said described his bicycle as being black in color with a white stripe and was possibly motorized.Detectives request anyone with information call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
