Police seek man linked to multiple bank robberies on Staten Island

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a man linked to at least three bank robberies on Staten Island. 

The latest occurred Monday and authorities say the suspect got away with more than $17,000.

At about 1:36 p.m., the suspect entered a Chase Bank located at 666 Forest Avenue where police say he handed the bank teller a note demanding money.

The teller complied and the individual fled the scene with over approximately $7,500.

On Feb. 1, just after 10 a.m., authorities say he walked into Richmond County Savings Bank located at 1270 Clove Road and handed the bank teller a note demanding money. The teller complied and the suspect individual fled the scene with over $7,000.

On Jan. 29, at 11:20 a.m., officials say he entered a Northfield Bank located at 1481 Forest Avenue and handed the bank teller a note demanding money.

The teller complied and the suspect fled the scene with over approximately $2,000.Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic male last seen wearing a black cap, black coat and black shoes.Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-8477.
