NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Gov. Andrew Cuomo has apparently been rubbing some New Yorkers the wrong way.

Pollster Steven Greenberg has some of the results of a new Siena Research Institute survey.
"Forty-three percent of New Yorkers have a favorable view of Andrew Cuomo, but fifty percent, half of New Yorkers say the have an unfavorable view of the governor. Last month he was positive, fifty one to forty three percent, so down significantly," he said.
The governor's job performance rating dipped to 35 percent approval and 64 percent disapproval. That's down from 43-56 in December.
A spokesman for the government said the results just don't seem right. Rich Azzopardi says the governor just had his most productive month ever.
"Siena doesn't always get it right," Azzopardi said. The poll "doesn't reflect the sentiment of New Yorkers."
The Sienna Poll wasn't kind to other key Democrats either. Senator Chuck Schumer's favorability rating dropped from 53 to 47 percent. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand's fell from 48 to 44 percent.
Gillibrand announced her run for president in mid-January.
The poll's margin of error is 4.3 percentage points.
