NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Ellen DeGeneres' wife, actress Portia de Rossi, broke her silence on Monday by expressing her support for her embattled talk show spouse in an Instagram post.
"To all our fans....we see you. Thank you for your support," de Rossi captioned a large graphic that read "I Stand By Ellen." She also included a series of hashtags, including #stopbotattacks #IStandWithEllenDeGeneres #IStandByEllen #IstandByEllenDeGeneres #bekindtooneanother.
De Rossi's post comes days after DeGeneres addressed reports of a toxic workplace, which prompted WarnerMedia to launch an investigation through a third-party firm to ascertain if there was any truth to th accusation.
"As we’ve grown exponentially, I’ve not been able to stay on top of everything and relied on others to do their jobs as they knew I’d want them done," DeGeneres said in a memo to staff. "Clearly some didn’t. That will now change and I’m committed to ensuring this does not happen again."
She added, “Obviously, something changed, and I am disappointed to learn that this has not been the case. And for that, I am sorry. Anyone who knows me knows it’s the opposite of what I believe and what I hoped for our show.”
Current and former unnamed show staffers also told BuzzFeed that some senior-level employees also engaged in sexual harassment. Two of the staffers named in the article denied the accusations. WarnerMedia has not commented on that report.
