NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A possible track fire between 14th and 23rd Streets is causing delays on the 2,3,4,5 and 6 trains, the MTA said Tuesday afternoon, saying it is working :"to bring trains back on schedule as soon as the incident clears."
"Expect delays in northbound 2 and 3 train service while we reroute some 5 trains from Nevins St to 149 St-Grand Concourse because of an FDNY investigation at 23 St.," read a tweet.
The MTA continued, "Expect delays in northbound 6 train service while we reroute 4 and 5 trains on the local track because of an FDNY investigation at 23 St. ...There are delays and service changes to 4 and 5 train service because of an FDNY investigation at 23 St."
A subway user tweeted, "@NYCTSubway track fire between 14th and 23rd on Eastside line — 4/5 running local."
The MTA responded, "Hi Chip, we're aware. ^DJP."
