NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — New York subway riders caught an unusual sight this morning on the L-train: a raccoon.
Commuters in Brooklyn saw the creatures on the train and in the station.

December 18, 2017 One woman said, about the raccoon she sighted, “It went into the garbage, got some food, climbed out of the garbage somehow with the food in its mouth, and now its chilling on the platform.”
State Senator Roxanne Persaud brought the matter up at a transportation budget hearing.

July 5, 2018 "Several of my constituents have mentioned seeing them in the station," she said. "Raccoons tend to live there."
The MTA is aware of the situation, and said they will look into fixing it immediately.
