Rain leaving NYC Tuesday, only to return on Thursday

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Monday may have been wet and wild, but the rain will exit the region on Tuesday, according to AccuWeather.

Monday night will be humid with fog and periods of rain, some heavy, and a thunderstorm. There will be flooding in poor drainage areas. Low 64.

On Tuesday, there will be a shower in spots early, then becoming breezy and less humid with clouds giving way to sunshine. High 76.

Tuesday night will be mostly clear and comfortably cool. Low 58 in the city, low 50s in the suburbs.

Wednesday will be sunny to partly cloudy and nice. High again 76.

On Thursday there will be periods of rain and a thunderstorm. High near 70.

Things should dry out Friday with temperatures warming to the mid and upper 70s. Generally looking good for the weekend; perhaps a late-day thunderstorm on Sunday.
