NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Rosario Dawson wasn't planning to meet the man of her dreams, but it happened and she's as happy as ever.
"God’s got jokes, and is like ‘Boom, here’s your man — you’re in love, and guess what? He’s running for president," Dawson, 40, told The New York Post's Alexa supplement of senator-turned-presidential candidate Cory Booker.
The pair, who met at a fundraiser, are not shy about being in the public eye: Most recently, she attended the Democratic presidential debate Tuesday night in Ohio to root on her beau. And last week, Booker was her date at the Los Angeles premiere for her upcoming film "Zombieland: Double Tap."
"We’re about to be a year (together), literally talking every day, and he’s kind of become my best friend," she told the newspaper.
She added, "He’s someone who gets that we’re both doing something we’re really passionate about. I support this incredible human being who’s living his purpose and professing some really beautiful solutions to the problems we’re facing with grace and love and kindness, even when he’s exhausted and he’s been in his fourth state of the day. I’ve been really impressed, and I’m grateful that his voice is still in this race.”
