A line to see Sanders wrapped all the way around Brooklyn College, where the rally was held.
The Vermont senator, registered as an Independent, frequently touts his Brooklyn roots.
Fans from throughout the region crowded to see Sanders speak, with many saying they believe Sanders is the highlight of a crowded Democratic field.

One supporter said, “I’m just really excited to have a candidate who actually cares about working class people and criminal justice reform.”
A 2016 Bernie supporter drove in from New Jersey, saying “I think the country needs a moral reset. I think too much money goes to corporations.”
