NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Scientists working at an excavation site in Austria have found someone’s very old breakfast – and it looks a lot like bagels.

Researchers say they found three pieces of the 3,000-year-old, charred bread, according to the New York Times.

They're not complete rings, but the pieces of dough made from finely ground flour look like they used to be rings similar to a bagel.

Researchers also found ovens and vessels containing a variety of edible plants, including, wheat, barley and corn… but no cream cheese!

They published their findings in the journal PLOS ONE.
