NEW YORK (1010 WINS) —Police are looking into a string of six fires in New Jersey Thursday night which they believe to be suspicious.
There were six fires in all, five in Linden, and one in Roselle.
No one was hurt in any of the fires.
The most serious one burned a house, which had been undergoing renovcations, to the ground.
Another fire heavily damaged a medical office building.
A third fire erupted in the dumpster of a middle school.
Two of the remaining fires were brush fires.
The fires broke out between 10 p.m. Thursday and 1 a.m. Friday morning.
Linden Mayor Derek Armstead said it was unusual to have this many fires in one night, “There’s an investigation going on. We hope that if it was arson, we can bring the person or persons to justice immediately.”
