NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man is accused of killing his mother in Brooklyn.
On Wednesday, when police went to an apartment at the Albany Houses in Crown Heights to conduct a wellness check. When they arrived, they were greeted by 32-year-old Jason Reeves.
When they entered the home, officers noticed a foul smell and found a woman's body inside the bedroom closet, police said. The body was hanging upside down, 1010 WINS" Carol D'Auria reported.
The woman had a stab wound to her chest and multiple stab wounds to her head, police said. She was also set on fire, according to police.
Police determined the victim was Reeve's 67-year-old motherI
Reeves was arrested and charged with second-degree murder.
