NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Spotty showers and thunderstorms are expected to move into the city Friday evening ahead of a weekend heat wave.
Friday night will be warm, sticky and partly cloudy, with possible showers and thunderstorms and a low of 73 degrees, according to Accuweather. Saturday will be mostly sunny, very warm and humid, with a high of 88 degrees, but it will feel more like the low 90s.
Temperatures are expected to dip by Saturday evening, when the city will see a low of 74 degrees, but the heat will return Sunday, Accuweather says.
Sunday will see a high of 96 degrees, with sun and building clouds, but it could feel more like 100 degrees or above in the afternoon
That level of heat will likely continue into Monday, which is expected to be hot, humid and partly sunny.
