NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The Tampa Bay Lightning beat the Dallas Stars 2-0 to win the Stanley Cup Monday night.

The National Hockey League is now the first major North American sports league to crown a champion during the pandemic.

This is the second Stanley Cup for the Lightning -- they had their first win in 2004 against the Calgary Flames.

The Stanley Cup final was played at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Canada, with no spectators in a "bubble" to limit the spread of coronavirus.
