Terrifying video shows group beat and rob man on Queens street

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Police have released video of a man being pummeled and robbed by a group of men on a street corner in Sunnyside, Queens, last week.

The 34-year-old victim was near Greenpoint and 48th avenues shortly after 11 p.m. last Monday when three men started yelling at him, according to the NYPD. Moments later the man was on the ground beaten and robbed.


Video released by police on Wednesday shows the attack unfold.

One of the men sucker-punched the victim before the other two men jumped in and started kicking and punching him as he was on the sidewalk, the video shows.

The group stole his wallet, iPhone X and Apple EarPods before running off, police said.

The victim was taken to Elmhurst Hospital, where he was treated for bruises to his head and body.
