NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a man they said attacked a 78-year-old man after following him into his home in the Bronx last week.
On August 28, at 1:20 p.m., officials said the suspect followed the victim into his residence near East 167th Street and Gerard Avenue in the Concourse section.
Once inside, police said the suspect began to choke the victim and demanded his property.
The suspect forcibly removed the victim's wallet which contained approximately $750 and fled on foot in an unknown direction, officials said.
The victim suffered pain and bruising but refused medical attention at the scene.
Police describe the suspect as a Black man around 20-30 years old.
