NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A homeless man was arrested for allegedly stealing $11,000 worth of belongings from the hotel room of a doctor who traveled to New York City to help treat COVID-19 patients, the NYPD said.

Ronaldo Lewis, 29, allegedly broke into a room at The Brooklyn in Crown Heights around 9 a.m. on Saturday, police said Wednesday.
Lewis made off with around $11,000 worth of jewelry and clothing, according to police.
The New York Post reported that the items belonged to a 29-year-old doctor from Texas who was staying at the hotel while treating COVID-19 patients in New York City.
Lewis' attorney information wasn't immediately available Wednesday.
