A man from Hong Kong slipped and fell Thursday, while taking pictures at Grand Canyon West.
The man was in his 50s and was visiting the Eagle Point observation area with a tour group, spokesman David Leibowitz said.
Eagle Point has been closed along with nearby Skywalk. The Hualapai Tribe owns and operates Grand Canyon West.
"The thoughts and prayers of every Grand Canyon West employee remain with the loved ones of this individual and the members of the tour group," a statement from the destination read.
Earlier this week, rangers responded to a death near the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Details were not immediately clear, but the National Park Service and the Coconino County Medical Examiner are conducting an investigation.
