NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a trio of men accused of beating and robbing a 56-year-old man in the Bronx.
On August 24, at approximately 1:30 a.m., officials said a 56-year-old man was walking in front of 1064 Ward Avenue in Soundview when he was approached by three men him from behind and then thrown on the ground.
One of the men began punching the victim while on the ground and removed his cellphone.
The men all fled on foot to parts unknown with the victim's property, officials said.
The victim refused medical attention at the scene.
Police describe the suspects as following:
Suspect 1 is described as a medium-skinned male, approximately in his 20', medium build, black hair with a beard and last seen wearing a dark-colored under shirt, dark-colored shorts and white sneakers.
Suspect 2 is described as a medium-skinned male, approximately in his 20', medium build, black hair and last seen wearing a gray t-shirt with white lettering in front of it, gray pants and black sneakers.
Suspect 3 is described as a medium-skinned male, approximately in his 20', thin build and last seen wearing a white undershirt, multi-color shorts, black socks, white sneakers and a light-colored bandana on his head.
