Trump: Democrats are ‘anti-Israel, anti-Jewish’ party

WASHINGTON (1010 WINS) -- The vote on Thursday, in the House was overwhelmingly in favor of a resolution condemning anti-Semitism, and other bigotry against minorities.

President Donald Trump called the vote a disgrace, because at its root, it was about Democratic Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, and the disparaging remarks she made about Israel and those who blindly support the Jewish state.

"If you get an honest answer from politicians, they thought it was a disgrace. The Democrats have become an anti-Israel party, they've become an anti-Jewish party, and that's too bad," Trump said.

It is shameful that House Democrats won’t take a stronger stand against Anti-Semitism in their conference. Anti-Semitism has fueled atrocities throughout history and it’s inconceivable they will not act to condemn it!

Omar said Israel's allies pressure legislators to pledge allegiance to a foreign country.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said the remark was never meant to be anti-Semitic.
