NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — President Donald Trump's personal assistant Madeleine Westerhout abruptly resigned Thursday, after Trump discovered she had talked to reporters about the first family and White House operations, the New York Times reported.
She departed following Trump learning she had discussed White House affairs at an off-the-record dinner with journalists near Bedminster, New Jersey.
The breach of trust required immediate action, sources told the Times, and Westerhout will not be allowed to return to the White House on Friday.
The White House or Westerhout have yet to publicly comment on the matter.
