NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Donald Trump is heading to the Garden State later this month for a "Keep America Great Again" rally, the president's 2020 campaign announced Monday.

The rally is scheduled for Tuesday, January 28 at 7 p.m. at the Wildwoods Convention Center in Wildwood.

"President Trump has delivered for New Jersey creating 129,400 new jobs, including 9,600 new manufacturing jobs and 10,200 new construction jobs," Michael Glassner, the Trump campaign's chief operating officer, said in a statement. "President Trump looks forward to returning to the Garden State to celebrate his message of 'Promises Made, Promises Kept.'"

Rep. Jeff Van Drew, who ditched the Republicans for the Democrats last month following the president's impeachment, will reportedly be at the rally. The freshman congressman's district includes Wildwood.

"I believe that this is just a better fit for me," Van Drew said of his decision, promising Trump his "undying support."

"This is who I am, it's who I always was, but there was more tolerance of moderate Democrats, of Blue Dog Democrats, of conservative Democrats," said Van Drew, "and I think that's going away."

Trump, meanwhile, took to Twitter at the time, writing, ""Congressman Jeff Van Drew is very popular in our great and very united Republican Party," the president wrote. "It was a tribute to him that he was able to win his heavily Republican district as a Democrat. People like that are not easily replaceable!"
