NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Ride-share company Uber has added real-time public transportation information in New York on their mobile app, it announced on Tuesday.
The new addition of "mass transit integration" is "part of Uber's vision of serving as a one-stop shop for transportation in New York," according to a statement from the company.
Along with the different car options, some Uber users will see transit directions and arrival times each time they input their destination starting this week.
Over the next few months New York City's subway and buses, NJ Transit, Long Island Rail Road, Metro-North and NYC Ferry will be fully intergrated.
Uber's competitor, Lyft, also added subway times recently.
