FINAL: US women's soccer team beat England 2-1

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) --- The US Women's Soccer team defeats England 2-1 in World Cup Semifinal.

Scorers Christen Press and co-captain Alex Morgan have put the team on top at the end of the half.  England was up against the US team who has never missed a World Cup Semifinal game in history. 

Press set the pace for the match very early.

Today is Morgan's 30th birthday and she sure is celebrating with her sixth 2019 World Cup goal.

England nearly tied the game but the goal was retracted due to offside.

Naeher stops England again by denying a penalty kick.

Final score leaves US on top of England (2-1) in World Cup Semifinals and advances the US to the World Cup finals.
