NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- The Navy confirms the existence of "Unidentified aerial phenomena" after UFO sightings were captured in leaked footage.
“The Navy designates the objects contained in these videos as unidentified aerial phenomena,” said Joseph Gradisher, spokesman for the deputy chief of naval operations for information warfare, disclosed to a government-document repository called the Black Vault blog last week.
Gradisher told The Washington Post that UAP was not a new term but was being used instead of the more evocative UFO — partly to encourage pilots to report such sightings without appearing nutty. He said they could very well be a type of drone, operated by regular old humans."Regardless of what they are, he said, they are in our airspace."
