Residents cooped up at home have been clapping and cheering every night at 7 p.m. to honor the workers. On Thursday evening, they took it to the next level, joining together across the city to sing Sinatra's classic ode to the city.
"My neighbors across the street have been blasting it every night, but tonight was extra special as people across the city sang along," Amanda Gordon wrote on Instagram.
Gary Baker and Robert Hornsby, with the Peace of Heart Choir, helped organize the city-wide sing-along, which will reportedly be happening every Thursday evening for the near future. People can watch future sing-alongs live here.
"There's something really special about singing in communities, singing with other people, really being in harmony with one another, and that's what we're hoping other people can experience," Baker told CBS2.
